New LP produced by Chris James and Josh Brooks at Hybrid Studios
‘Rhetoric’ is the latest album from Los Angeles-based indie rock band Bird & The War. Set for release on November 19th, the ten-song record was written and performed by Chris James and Michael Arias, produced by James and Josh Brooks at Hybrid Studios, and mastered by Devin DeVore at Trinity Sound Company. A free album release show is slated for November 20th at The Virgil in Santa Monica with The Gromble, Ghost Lit Kingdom, and Niantic playing in support.
“With the momentum gained from our self-titled EP, our dream for this new record was to take our level of production to new heights while still maintaining the core characteristics of our sound and who we are as a band,” said Chris James, “The sonic quality and emotion conveyed on ‘Rhetoric’ has far exceeded our expectations and we have our producer, Josh Brooks, to thank. Hybrid’s space, atmosphere, and in-house talent was integral in producing our first full-length album which we are absolutely proud of and excited to release.”
‘Rhetoric’ is available now for pre-order on iTunes and will be streamed on Apple Music, Spotify, and all other major streaming services. The band has every intention to stay busy in support of the album; a ‘Rhetoric” documentary will be out in December 2016, followed by a Vinyl release in January 2017. In addition, James and Arias plan to start production on acoustic sessions for ‘Rhetoric’ in late February, and a West Coast tour is in the works for Summer 2017.
