Santa Ana, CA (August 27, 2015) – Hybrid Studios, Orange County’s premier recording studio and sound stage, hosted the next generation of songwriters and musicians in The Collective Music Summer Music Academy for the recording portion of their summer camp and tour.
“It is important to us at The Collective Sound to provide an authentic recording experience to the young musicians attending our 3 week summer academy,” said Zac Smith, the program’s Founder and Executive Director. “Hybrid is a world class studio and certainly provides them with a best case scenario of what can be accomplished in a state of the art facility with top of the line gear.”
The Collective Sound Summer Music Academy is a summer music camp opportunity for young musicians, ages 12-18, to hone their musicianship skills in a creative environment. With a focus on collaboration, students are divided into bands that work together to write and rehearse original material daily in preparation for recording studio time and live performances.
“We love having the kids from The Collective Sound record their music at Hybrid Studios,” said Studio Manager Mike Miller. “They bring a lot of energy and a high level of talent. They’re really impressive, and it’s exciting to get a sneak peek at the future of our industry.”
“The staff has been amazing at showing them what it is like to work in a professional environment,” adds Smith. “Year after year it has proven to be the highlight for many of the students attending our Southern California program.”
