“Matt Heafy and Trivium really are awesome in every sense of the word, and it was super cool to work with them,” said Hybrid Studios’ Engineer Josh Brooks, “They brought an extremely high level of focus and professionalism into the studio, and it paid off with an incredible record. It’s not surprising at all how much love the album has gotten so far. From a production standpoint, Josh Wilbur knocked it out of the park once again.”
The Sin and The Sentence is Trivium’s eighth studio record to date and marks the second time the band has worked with Wilbur, who previously mixed 2015’s Silence in the Snow. It’s also the debut album for drummer Alex Bent (formerly of Battlecross and currently of Brain Drill and Dragonlord) who joined the band officially in 2017. The Sin and The Sentencehas received critical acclaim since its release, receiving 4 out of 5 stars from Metal Hammer and a perfect 10/10 from Wall of Sound.
