OC studio provides A/V services for Laguna Niguel holiday benefit concert
Orange County recording studios and soundstage, Hybrid Studios, provided audio and video services to Eider Court’s holiday benefit block party concert on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Around four hundred patrons came out for the event, featuring performances from Make-a-Wish ambassador, Sage Escalante, who spoke about her personal road to fighting cancer, and Hanna Eyre, a ‘Top 20’ finalist on The Voice and Eider Court resident. Laguna Niguel mayor, Elaine Gennawey, thanked everyone and the Orange County fire authority brought a fire truck for the event. All twelve houses on Eider Ct. participated in fundraising by baking desserts and in the end raised over a thousand dollars for two families that the street adopted. A garage of toys was also filled and donated to Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
“I grew up on Eider Ct. just like Hanna, so it was a no-brainer to have myself and the studio be involved in such a worthwhile event,” said Hybrid Studios Co-Founder Patrick Akhamlich, “The community really came together to make amazing charitable contributions, and I think we did an awesome job at making the event look and feel special. Nick Gonzalez (Hybrid Studios Engineer) was great on live sound. It was definitely a special event, and its something we’d like to do every year around the holidays if possible.”
Every year, the residents on Eider Ct. decorate their entire street for the holidays. All through the season, drivers by can tune to a local radio station to listen to Christmas music coordinated to a pre-programed Light-O-Rama system set up by Akhamlich. Lights and decorations stream from house to house, eighteen feet above the ground and all across the cul de sac. For their efforts, the residents of Eider Ct. have been awarded the Community Spirit Award for seven years running, going all the way back to 2011.
