OC studio’s keyboard collection provides producer/engineers a wealth of options in Studio A.
Orange County recording studios and soundstage has added a keyboard corner to the control room in Studio A. These new additions, part of Tom Brooks’ collection at Hybrid, are aimed to give production clients more versatile production options in Hybrid’s main recording studio. The collection’s twenty top-of-the-line, brand-name synthesizers are all hooked up to MIDI and always able to be auditioned both to the patchbay for easy printing or to a pair of audition speakers below the keyboards for simple control room playback. The entire collection is also connected to the Studio Logic SL88 Grand MIDI controller, allowing for central location control.
“We have an unbelievable amount of sought-after keyboard and MIDI options in Studio A,” said Hybrid Studios’ Lead Engineer Josh Brooks, “There’s every source and tone imaginable, so Hybrid’s clients can really get creative and explore options until they find what they’re looking for. It’s all there to be used, and we can’t wait to see what people come up with using these awesome tools.”
Hybrid’s keyboard corner contains classic instruments from Oberheim, Roland, Sequential Circuit, Moog, Korg, Yamaha, and Studio Electronics. The keyboards are available for use immediately for all Hybrid Studios clients in Studio A.
