Manley Mastering Gear added to Studio B, while Studio A gets added options in stereo compression
With mastering becoming more of a focus for its Studio B, Hybrid Studios recently made some additions to the room, while also transitioning some mastering equipment from Studio A. The mastering version of the Manley SLAM! and Manley Massive Passive are now in Studio B, along with a new SPL De-Esser and a Waves L2 hardware unit to round out the mastering setup.
“The Manley mastering gear pairs nicely with the PMC monitoring in Studio B,” said Hybrid Co-founder Billy Klein, “Meanwhile, to replace the gear we’ve moved from Studio A, we’ve added a stereo pair of Universal Audio LA3A’s and a second LA2A to give that studio more options for stereo compression.”
The Universal Audio compressors aren’t the only new toys for Hybrid’s Studio A. The Orange County production facility also recently supplemented its bass amp collection with the addition of a vintage Ampeg B-15N. Four additional Atlas boom stands were also added to Studio A’s live room.
