Local rock quintet making big splash with latest album and viral videos
Orange County hard rock staples Well Hung Heart released their first live album ‘Live From Hybrid’ in May, before embarking on part two of their Touch The Sky Tour. The five-song EP was tracked by Brennan Edmondson at Hybrid Studios, and it was mixed and mastered by Will Mott of 73 Productions.
“Hybrid provides such a relaxed and creative atmosphere and is always a pleasure to work in,” said guitarist Robin Davey, “It was an obvious place for us to cut a live in-studio album, not just for the environment, but also for the melding of a highly versatile recording space with both cutting edge and classic technology.”
Well Hung Heart has been on a serious tear recently, reaching number one on The World Famous KROQ’s “Local’s Only” playlist, and the band’s 360 VR video for ‘Touch The Sky’, filmed on Hybrid’s soundstage, has gotten over 564,000 views on Facebook in only a month’s time. This week they released a ‘Live From Hybrid’ video, covering Radiohead’s classic ‘Creep’, and the OC rockers seem poised for big things this coming summer.
